Speech Therapy Questions
Do you accept my insurance?
Novel Pathways Speech Therapy operates under a private pay model, so we are considered "out of network" with all insurance plans. A superbill will be provided upon request, so that you can submit a request for reimbursement from your insurance company. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to determine if they will reimburse you prior to starting services.
How long will therapy take?
It depends! Following the evaluation, I will review the results with the client and/or family and make any recommendations for therapy. Together, we will determine what the focus of therapy should be in order to achieve the client's communication goals.  These specific goals, in addition to level of client motivation and a few other factors, will determine the length of therapy.
What are my payment options?
Full payment will be due the day of service. I accept cash, check, or credit card. A credit card is required to hold your appointments and you can choose to have your card automatically charged or choose a different payment option.
I'm not sure if my child needs speech therapy. Can you help?
Yes! Novel Pathways Speech Therapy offers a free (30 minute) online session to determine whether a potential client will benefit from a speech and language evaluation. During this session, we will discuss your concerns and any questions you have for me. For children, activities like games and art may be used to help me get to know them, observe their speech and language skills, and make an appropriate recommendation for further evaluation.
How much do speech services cost?
All services are based on the amount of time involved for the evaluation or treatment. This includes preparation, time spent with the client, and any documentation. Following your consultation, and before any paid services occur, you will receive a "Good Faith Estimate" which will list the services we discuss/schedule during your consultation with their expected cost based on time.
Where do speech services take place?
Evaluations and therapy are offered via teletherapy, at our clinic, or a combination of the two.

Consultations are offered by phone or video call only.
What ages do you accept for speech clients?
I see children starting at age 3 up to 18 for speech and language services.
ADHD Coaching Questions
How do ADHD coaching packages work?
I offer 3 month packages. If we determine that we are a good fit at your free consultation, you can choose which package is the best fit for you.

What is expected of the client?
The client must want to be coached.
The client must be willing and able to set and attempt goals each week. It is OK (and, in fact, encouraged in some cases) to seek support from an adult in order to accomplish weekly goals.
The client must be able to show up to sessions on time.
The client should be at least somewhat open to trying out new ideas.

Most insurance plans do not cover ADHD coaching.
What ages do you see for ADHD coaching?
I will see Kids 8+, teens, and parents. I also offer combined sessions with parents where it's helpful and if the client feels comfortable with this.
Where do ADHD coaching sessions take place?
Coaching sessions can take place in person (if you're local to York, ME) or online.
